MediaUpdatesButtonPetaling Jaya-based Digital News Asia (DNA) today announced its expansion of editorial coverage to include consumer technologies.

Karamjit Singh, founder and CEO of DNA wrote in an article today, “And so, with more and more consumers in Malaysia and Singapore specifically, and South-East Asia generally, developing a much higher interest in the latest smartphones and tablets, we have changed our opinion about not covering the sector – especially with the beginnings of the wearables trend in the region as well. This in itself is going to be a whole new exciting and fast developing market.”

DNA which first appeared in May of 2012 has had some interesting development since the past year or so – the portal secured RM1 million funding which news was announced last November and the portal has also, in the past few months, expanded into Singapore.

A check on the site earlier today showed the Personal Tech section has already published a product review of a smartphone.

This is indeed an exciting news affecting many in the digital ecosystem.

Congratulations to team DNA!
