Malaysia Airlines has launched a hackathon (#MABHackathon), an event that will take place on February 18 and 19, 2017 at the Malaysia Airlines Academy (MAA) in Kelana Jaya.
This news was announced in a statement on January 10, 2017 in which the Company also mentioned that “It will be opening applications for Malaysians to take part in its first travel Hackathon event with a grand prize of RM20,000. The national carrier will be the first airline in the country to embark on this innovative approach to encourage programmers, developers and creative designers to develop solutions based on ideas submitted by staff and the public for the host Company.”
Applications are currently opened until January 25, 2017. The website of the event is https://hackathon.malaysiaairlines.com.
Meanwhile AirAsia is also going to hold a hackathon event. Called AIRVOLUTION 2017, the AirAsia’s hackathon event will take place on March 18 and 19, 2017 at the Company’s headquarters (AirAsia RedQ) (Note: This paragraph was edited to better explain the event to readers).
According to its website, “AIRVOLUTION 2017 is AirAsia’s inaugural regional hackathon that aims to spearhead innovation in the Asean region.”
Registrations are now opened until February 19, 2017.
According to information on the hackathon website, “up to 100 talented individuals will participate on-site…”
